Why Eight Arms?
“Because survival is insufficient.” It doesn’t matter if you came to this phrase from Star Trek or Emily St. John Mandel’s Station Eleven. Humans are able to do so much more than simply “survive.” My approach and counseling technique is working together with you to do more, create more, explore more, love more. The octopus and my practice, with its eight arms, highlights eight primary values I hold as a therapist.
creative spirit
adaptability
resilience
resourcing
autonomy
meaning-making
trauma-informed care
identity exploration and affirmation

A supportive space for partners to untangle the tough stuff, learn healthier ways to communicate and “fight fair”, face the hard truths, rebuild trust, and keep their relationship vibrant and alive.
A collaborative space for families to pause the chaos, identify and break unhelpful patterns, and find new ways to hear and understand each other with honesty and care.
